Talice Security is a locally owned and operated company that been providing security services in the Northern Territory for over 30 years. The company has grown from a small one-person operation to our current organization of over 100 employees.
We are currently looking for Security Officers who are safety conscious and can work with a diverse group of people.
Key responsibilities for this position include though not limited to:
- The ability to provide security and customer service in a large client base environment.
- The ability to coordinate and complete all patrols and any other security work during the shift.
- The ability and willingness to learn the operations of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV and Fire & Safety procedures including Fire Indication panels.
- Proven experience in communicating and responding to challenging and aggressive situations such as distressed persons, demonstrating empathy, integrity and resilience under various circumstances.
- Strong written communication skills particularly in report writing, maintaining shift logs and entering information into databases.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders including ability to work independently and co-operatively as a member of a team.
The Candidate
To be considered for this position you must be able to obtain / demonstrate the following qualifications and skills;
- Current NT Security License
- Current NT C Class Driver’s License
- Certificate II in Security Operations
- A current Certificate in First Aid with CPR
- Demonstrated Competency in Primary and Secondary Screening Processes (Desirable)
- High levels of Emotional Intelligence
- The ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and walks of life
- High level of integrity and commitment to company and/or site procedures
- Attention to detail and strong literacy and numeracy skills
As a Security Officer with Talice Security we offer;

- On site PPE to allow you to safely conduct your duties within your role. This may include a radio, anti-stab vest, batons & handcuffs

We currently have vacancies for Crowd Controllers to work at various venues and events across Alice Springs and the greater Central Australia region. The right candidate will be safety conscious and can work with a diverse group of people.
The Candidate
We are looking for people who have great communication skills, are well presented, have a strong work ethic, are dedicated to providing a high level of customer service and are able to work as part of a team.
This position is also open to those wanting to upskill and/or looking for extra work so if you do not currently hold a security license but are interested in pursuing a career in security the below criteria is the minimum requirement that we can assist with attaining.
- Current NT Dual Crowd Control/Security license; or a valid security license from another state and be eligible to apply for mutual recognition
- A current Certificate in First Aid with CPR
- Current NT C Class Driver’s License (desirable)
- Own reliable transport (desirable)
- Conflict resolution skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds and walks of life
Applicants must be willing to work at multiple sites across a rotating roster (including weekends) with shifts up to 12 hours.

Key responsibilities for this position include though not limited to:
- The ability to provide security and customer service in a large client base environment.
- The ability to coordinate and complete all patrols and any other security work during the shift.
- The ability and willingness to learn the operations of alarm systems, access control systems, CCTV and Fire & Safety procedures including Fire Indication panels.
- Proven experience in communicating and responding to challenging and aggressive situations such as distressed persons, demonstrating empathy, integrity and resilience under various circumstances.
- Strong written communication skills particularly in report writing, maintaining shift logs and entering information into databases.
- The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with senior management and other key stakeholders including ability to work independently and co-operatively as a member of a team.
- The ability to secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment, and inspecting edifices, equipment and access points; permitting or refusing entry.
- The ability to make sure the equipment is operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions and calling for repairs
- Mobile Patrolman don’t wait for something to happen. They do preventative patrol inspections and proactively undertake security measures to prevent burglary, damage and other misbehavior in the premise.
- Responding to all dispatch calls for Alarms, Building Checks and Guard Service needs
- Attending all designated patrols and doing full site patrols
- Evaluate complaint and emergency-request information to determine response requirements.
- Record facts to prepare reports that document incidents and activities Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to interact with co-workers to accomplish work.
- Ability to show independence and autonomy.
- Ability to make quick and sound decisions in stressful situations.
- Ability to understand and follow City/Departmental policies, rules and regulations.
- Is Reliable and trustworthy
- Has time management skills
